i hope someone can help me, i have a 1999 1.7 puma which seems to be building pressure in the cooling system, i've been told that the head gasket has probably gone, although there is no cheese in the oil, can anyone shed some light?, cheers in advance, steve

 

take it to a garage and get them to do a sniff test, that'll tell you for definate if the gasket has gone (or theres a crack somwhere).
