Default Someone is really trying hard to stop me driving my car!!!!!

For those of you who don't know here is the story:

21 Dec - bought my first saff cossie

14 Jan - spend £500 having her chipped and tuned, was told head gasket was well on it's way

17 Jan - Take it to my fellas work for new head gasket, had the idea it'd save me a lot of trouble getting it done before it went (if that makes sense)

Fella takes head of, cracked block!!!

22 Jan - Pick up new bottom end (well 2nd hand) another £500

25 Jan - Engine fitted go for a drive , fooking things got an oil leak.

26 Jan - Get all the new rocker cover gaskets, from a very generous guy , (that's where the leak was coming from)

27 Jan - fit them, car strarts and runs mint

Ok time to go for a drive..........or maybe not - fooking clutch pedal won't go down to the floor, just stuck!!!!!!! AM I PISSED OR WHAT!!!!

What more can go wrong before I get to drive my friggin car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HENCE 1 BAT 1 CRYSTAL BLUE SAFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He can be persuaded to sell anything!!! Why you want another - I'm regreting having 1 - sure you don't want a crystal blue 1

pau1rs - not having much luck there... sure things will change...
I friggin hope so!!!!

My other cars have been sold due to smaller problems!

More things have gone wrong - there just not on this list - my whole sound system that I pulled out of my orion doesn't work - yet it was fine in the orion and I've totally re-wired the saff system!!! And my stereo screen has gone since I put it in the saff, again fine when it was in the orion, this car is jinxed!!!!

Not sure about the engine question - I'm not that clever!!!

Welcome to Cossie ownership......

Moral is if you buy a £4k car best have £4k to keep it running....... or in my case £4k car and £10k in 3 years..... sold it and got another

Lovely cars when running 100% but theres always that little voice in the back of your head saying "whats going to break next"

I give 3k for mine - the way I see it, if you pay this kind of money, you have to expect to pay out........

Anyway - got back up and running - took it for a drive - blew my dump valve pipe off, back up and running again - BETS ON - WHATS NEXT TO GO!!!

Sell it and get another. Really does sound cursed Kim. Sell it now and buy another instead. It's the stereo thing that confirms the curse for me

No my mechanic is the best in the world!!! He fixed everything that's ever gone wrong with my cars, and I've had a few, Nova, XR2, Rover, Orion Turbo, Cossie, there's never been anything he couldn't fix And the best thing! the only payment I make is in kind!!! The clutch was fine, even after we put the engine in, drove it for ages right over the tops, and it was all good then parked it up coz I had an oil leek, fixed it last night then the clutch wouldn't work, went out in it last night and it was fine.
Something is sticking somewhere, but it still drives even when it does stick as I found out this morning, it works its way loose after a few pushes on the pedal, its going back to Stu's work this morning to be fixed..... yet again........anyone for a crystal blue saff???

And the hose blowing off could be my fault - since I was the last to touch it

the release bearing if the later type may have snapped one of its mounting legs as on the later type they are plastic

Good luck with it anyway!

Well yesterday it was off again, went to the stables, parked up fed horse got back in car.......wouldn't start!!!!!!!! How many more things!!! Turns out its the sensor that controls all the fuel.....it was flooding the car then starving it of petrol, but yet again my Stu sorted it.....went straight to the problem, I didn't have a clue!!!!!!! (Well that's what it seems to be)........

Paul - You want me to keep my hands off you will have to be nice to me!!!!!!!
