Default stuff it time to break it up but im keeping the shell

NEW UPDATE IM GOING TO PUT IT BACK TO STANDARD ISH SO THE LOT WILL BE FOR SALE JUST NEED TO FIND A BUYER FOR ENGINE .....

CHECK OUT THE FOR SALE SECTION FOR DETAILS ......

hello guys bad times im thinking i might need to break my car to pay off some debts as my work has stopped doing overtime and to be honest i sort of lived of that....

just wondering if there would be any intrest in the bits or i might just leave it stuffed in the garage for a rainy day....

the car has the following fitted..... the engine has only done 500miles

1.6 cvh .5 overbore mint
woszner low comp pistons
pec steel rods
arp bolts and acl bearings ect
genuine ford gaskets
uprated oil pump new water pump ect
fully lighten and balanced and worked crank
stage3 big valve head with enlarged ports
power engineering cam set up (mint)
ported inlet and adaptor plate (efi)
grey 403 injectors
gotech mfi ecu and custom plug and play loom
airtech manifold and custom down pipe for cossie turbo
stage 3 t34 nms spec with .48 and actutor speced to 2bar +

cts stage2+ box atb diff
paddle clutch
vibratechnics mounts
b&m quickshift

all brand new msd leads plugs thermostat and fan switch ect...

this car has everything brand new or nearly new just ask

coilovers ect mint interior and dash

but im thinking about selling the running gear and putting it back to standard to sell as it would be worth £5500 for the car standard...

plus also the newly restored rs1600i shell might have to go aswel..

thoughts please guys

To be honest it really isnt worth getting rid, the money you have spent has gone anyway, no getting that back so if you cant afford to spend anymore on it at the mo then dont.

If you have some slimline fans i'm after some.

Otherwise as said above though, why not mothball it until after christmas? everything gets tight at this time of year mate.

thats what im thinking ..... but i sort of miss just having something like a focus rs to blast about in with no problems...

the parts ive listed are only the main bits the list just goes on .....

whats the running gear worth.....
i was thinking that i want £1000 for the bottom end or 1100 with clutch
head 500 complete with cam kit ect
gearbox £700... or 800 with clutch
vibratecnics mounts £70
full management with everything to just conect and use with leads plugs and dizzy inlet and injectors £700
airtech manifold £150
stage3 t34 with custom down pipe (use you rear box) £550
brand new front mount with fans £200 airtec
brand new radiator (airtec) £140

and then i will put it back to standard for about £500 lol

dude, nearly had to do the same with mine

i was out of work for months and just looking at all the money i had sitting in the garage

luckily i managed to keep head above water for long enough til work picked up again

now i have it back and its running, i would of been gutted if i never finished it
so glad i did

sold a few things but only things that wouldnt make a difference to final spec

if you can put it away till you have the money to finish

Mate don't sell up, put it away and come back to it next year, only sell it when you have no other options as you will always regret it.

I would be up for the turbo if you really do start breaking it, but honestly it would be a shame,

Rob,

it would be a shame to sell it realy but we are thinking we want to get out of renting and buy a house so need to clear up some debts...

although i was thinking about just putting it back to standard and keeping it around 200bhp... but might just sell the t34 and greys and put back on a t3 sage3 with greens and then just get it out how it is

im thinking about just selling the turbo and the greys and getting a stage3 t3 and greens to finish it and free up some money for mapping and leave it at that ...

its just pissing me off not being able to use it , ive had it a year and drove it once so might just sell the rs1600i shell...

Dont do it unless you really have to, nice S1's are getting hard to find now and you wouldnt get one with the same condition/spec for the money you are selling it for should you want another in the future. If your that strapped sell some of the uprated bits and put standard stuff bk on.

mark do yourself a favour dont sell anything been there done that got the t shirt

stop spending and changing your spec

just bolt it back together and drive it

the first time it comes on boost it will all be worth it

as above just stop spending and wait

the money youve spent has gone so stop looking at your car as pound notes

TRUST ME
