Default what head gasket for zvh

my missus has a 3i and wants a zetec bottom end and i wondered what you rst boys are using ie can a normal cvh gasket be used

I believe you need a 1900 head gasket, (I could be wrong though)

1.9 cvh gasket for a 2.0 big end

1.6 cvh gasket for a 1.8 or 1.6

dunno where 1.9 1's come from

maybe do a search mate

a 1.9 Head gasket is a Felpro headgasket also known as a 'group a' head gasket most tuners sell them they are arround £35

i am going to use a multi layer metal focus gasket, does anybody use 1 of these

Yep I'm using that one too - you need to weld the head, and skim it and the intake face too. I got pics if it helps.

whats do u have to weld??

no1 else welds the cvh head pre-zvh that ive heard of

is it purely to use that type of gasket?

Yep - to fit the Zetec multi-layer gasket, you need to weld the head. The other ones fit without it, but for the extra work you can use the WRC style gasket.
