Default ford focus st3 (wont start)

Hi all im hoping some one might be able to help me i ahve a for docus st3 this morning i went round to a pals then when i went to drive the car again the engine is just not kicking in it is just making a clicking noise any help as to wat the problem may be would be very much appreciated thanks daz

te cd player still comes on and plays though so i dont see how it could be the battery

Hi mate put a multimeter across the battery and see what voltage you have?

lol
battery is prob so low it wont turn over the engine but theres enough to power the stereo
push start it and see how that goes

the car opens with the key and everything works ie stereo lights etc. i have the electronic start button when it tells me to push the clutch to start so i do thats then when it clicks but is not starting the engine!!!! does this sound like the prob u had???? manythank daz

As said mate flat battery, it takes alot more to turn the engine over than it does to make the cd player etc work.

As said it's a flat battery either it's not charging or the battery needs replacing, the CD player will tell you nothing but if you switch the headlights on and then tried starting they should go dim confirming the problem, you could always bump/jump start as a temporary measure to get you on your way.
