Default Wierd interior light prob.

Ok as far as i know this is only happening after ive fitted a full RS interior into my 1.6. basically its all in and working but for some reason my interior light has now stopped working only on door open setting. it just stays off yet i can still turn it on at the switch. The door button are working as they still trigger my dash light. ive checked all my fuses and cannot find a problem anywhere.

Another prob i have is i get the "dial sweep" alot. recently started doing it. before interior light prob. Doesnt do it all the time at startup but lets say every 3 times-ish.

Oh and another wierd prob i have too also seems to be since the interior fitting is my drivers side speaker seams to be making like a power down whine after engine off. like whines slower and slower till it stops. very wierd. i dont get it.

Dash sweep is usually related to the battery being on its last legs. How old is the car? Pop the interior light out and make sure the plugs are connected properly, there should be 2 plugs, one with two wires and one with one wire. No idea about the speaker though!

I had this exact same problem in my sierra estate when i fitted the electric sunroof, but i`m afraid i have no idea what i did to fix it as it just started working on its own one day. Have you checked the wiring with a circuit tester?

yea it makes a circuit but its not powering it. its the door open light. all light and this one works but only on always on setting. really really wierd. its meant to fade out. im looking at replaceing the full fuse box to hope it solves it. ive tried everything.

The interior light is controlled by the GEM, maybe this is faulty?
