Hi,
Yes the seal number is very small, I would have a look at one at my local ford dealer but not a stock item due to age.
The numbers are very small, but will be the usual 3 set numbers like 125-140-10 for example for inner, outer and width.
I've thought of someone who no doubt has them hanging around, forgot he's doing a screamer pinto for someone at the moment, normally does old historic F1 engines, and older stuff than pinto.
I'll keep this thread/you posted I've got a nice cheap place for the seals anyway, very few sizes not made in viton, thought all viton were terracota colour, but there's a nice yellow is some sizes, yay colour co ordinated oil seals!!

Cozzy jeff, yes already have the front and aux seal, they are the same and cost me around Ł9, they are 42-56-7, cams are 35-47-7.

Bit of an old thread but I found it using the search.
I'm also trying to get a rear crank seal but viton say they can't supply the size I need, 79.38x95.25x11 (that's the dimensions marked on the seal I have at the moment) the best they can do is an imperial equivalent which is quite close on the I.D and O.D but only works out around 8.5mm on the thickness.
Does that sound right?

A 80mm inner with 95 outer by 11mm(or close to width) will be fine, I'll ask my seal people if you want, you'd get away with 9-13mm width on the seal no doubt though if need be.

Thanks. I'll ring viton again tomorrow and see if they can supply those sizes, if no luck I'll let you know!

What's the best way to get the old seals out without having the proper tool? I can't imagine everyone buys the tool just to pull a seal out.

I did today,

I've just changed my front one to Viton but would desperately like one for the Rear crank seal on Viton also.

Probably best off seeing if tabetha can get one from the people he deals with, I phoned viton direct and they weren't much help, I won't be bothering with them again.
