Ive got a rebuilt 200 block which has been sitting in the garage for months, plan tonight was to fit my big wing sump and a few other bits.

Now i new i was going to have to change the 4x4 pick up for a 2wd item, but to me they look the same ?

prob is my sump wont fit with the 4x4 pick up as its fouling on part of the sump

heres a pic



you can see the sump needs to move around 10mm to seat right, its sits flat on the block but needs to move forward.

you can see here where its fouling



i cant see changing the pick up will solve this, any ideas ?

Pipe, hacksaw, welder, at a guess, but not the welder who did the welding on the sump!!

hmm, thats what i was thinking mate, i may slice 10mm off one side of the filter and get that welded.

its a andrew galagher sump !

 

Whoever welded that was either dying for a piss, or pissed.
