Default Ideas of things to do with no physical effort

Have been involved in an accident near 2 weeks ago and resulted in me breaking my back and having pins, rods and a plate fitted. This has left me being very lucky as I should make a full recovery but will have at least 3 weeks of near total physical rest and then after this a very slow process of getting back full movement and strength in my upper body. Also broke a few ribs which has made moving about quite painful, painkillers are so strong its difficult to concentrate for a long time too.

Any ideas of websites that will stop boredom or any short courses I could do to expand my education.

Thanks

Nick

....become a Goldmember and play Street Fighter II (Ryu vs Sagat) in the games room. If you manage to beat Sagat, I'll hate you though, since I've failed to do it myself.

What do you do for work normally? What are your interests? ...that might help the suggestions a wee bit.

Cheers,
Grant

Online poker, chess, IQ tests - there are many games and such like you can play that dont require fast reactions or much movement of the mouse.

You could easily learn the basics of a foreign language in that time - are you planning a holiday this/next year?

Last time I was in hospital I took the chance to read all the books I'd bought and never read.

had a motorbike accident, low speed but hit head on a metal railing smashing crash helmet and sending force down my back. Spent 6 days laid flat in hospital waiting for surgery as fracture was unstable. Was lucky not to be paralysed. Have had 6 pins, 2 rods and a plate fitted to fuse 3 of my vertebrae together so now on rest for quite a length of time.

I'm on very strong pain killers and concentrating on things like reading and remembering is very difficult at the moment.

Should make full recovery eventually though

thanks for suggestions so far,
