Default amal valve wrongly fitted

hi
ive just put my cossie back together and was about to fit the amal valve back on when i realised because i had marked the pipes prior to removal, that the previous owner had fitted it wrong.
the pipe marked c was going to the wastegate and the pipe marked w was going to the compressor housing!
what effect would this have on boost? as its apparently stage 3 ive looked in the ecu its deffo not a standard chip but isnt marked up with a branded name or anything, it has greens, rs500 cooler, roller bearing t3, 3 bar map but was only running a bar of boost, could this have been caused by the amal valve?
ive also noticed its running a lot more than half a hole preload on the actuator its running about an inch of preload if not more! should i adjust this to half a hole or should i see what its boosting like now amal is piped up right?
i just dont wanna take it out and blow the fucker up after having just refitted the engine lol

I would back the actuator off to half a hole first

yeah i thought that just incase the previous owner had wound it in as an attempt to get it to boost when the pipes were wrong way round! knowing my luck if i dont adjust it ill go out peak at about 40psi smash the turbo to pieces and destroy my engine lol!

I would get a fuelling check done, as it's a bit unknown, this will enable the boost to be turned up if there's suffecient fuel for it and give you a safe engine into the bargain.
I can't see the amal pipes being a problem on them two, as it is only a high speed open close valve, just means the air was travelling in the opposite direction that's all.

cheers tabs to be safe for now ive set actuator at half a hole and put the pipes on correctly not had chance to go out and see what boost its making yet as been busy putting the thing back together lol! i think on payday im going to go either nms or msd and get a new chip and set up for it just to be safe.
as for the amal valve is that all it would cause as there is a restricter in one of the pipes but not the other i thought both "c" and "w" were meant to have restricters in?
im probably wrong im new to cossies lol!

Just leave the restrictor which is there at the mo till the check then it will get taken out anyway, it limits the amount of boost that can be generated.
