Default S2 Gearbox

Hi there im on the look out for a S2 gearbox but im in 2 minds wheter tio get mine rebuilt or buy secondhand. I have found one that does not have LSD could i take the LSD off my one and put it in the other one or would it not work. Also what is the benefits of have LSD

Sorry to hi-jack this but while on the subject,is it possible to put a lsd in my diesel box,as i love the ratio's these give compared to the rs box.

Yes the LSD is interchangeable between all BC boxs, bencossie the advantage is less wheelspin mate.
If buying second hand then either get a cheapo for Ł50 and take your chances or get one with a reciept for a recent rebuild and pay a little more.

yer i think ure right karlos cheers. i was told the ib5 diesel box is the best but i gather the lsd cant go into that

Yes it can but no they are not the best, ALL IB5 box's are the same strength, they all use the same bearings, shafts, cogs, etc. just have differnet ratio's.

They are stronger than the BC box's because of bigger bearings and a more webbed casing preventing flex under torque.
