Wire ringing old hat and not needed with modern better materials.
The YB 0611 "group a" doesn't exist anymore it is now 27380 00, made by Victor Reinz, exact same gasket just different number that's all.
Can get these from Matt Lewis, 01922 692424.

Coopers ring gasket wont fit with wire rings so no you will be better of with a std head gasket as then the wire rings will help seal the cylinders...
Id take the wire out and use a wrc gasket mate that will be your best bet..

cheers danny

Unless you are going over 500bhp, then a fibrous gasket will give a much better seal, as it can cope with imperfect surfaces that no metal gasket in the world will cope with, need ideally both block and head skimmed for metal gasket to have a good chance.
Stack loads of Norweigan boys running 500+ on the group a.
