Default Really bad vibration on my 2wd saff?

hi all, at 70mph i have a bad vibration on my 2wd saff, feel it through the seats, definately coming from the back, maybe n/s?

ive checked everything i can find, brakes arent binding, dampers are fine, prop and diff both been checked,

its not as harsh at 90 mph and doing 30 - 40 round town there is nothing noticeable

tabetha, i had the prop reconned 6000 mile ago, mate of mine said if the prop was in balanced then it would vibrate at any speed?

rear arms bushes or main bushes? the main ones are powerflex, i cant seem to find any play in the rear trailling arms,

botters, was your vibrating?

twas shaking like a shitting dog mate at approx 50-60 mph would not do it above nor below
an imbalanced prop would not neccesarily shake all the time the same as some imbalanced wheels will only shake at certain speeds

Your mate is wrong, my dads car has a custom prop(V8 4i) that only shakes above above 110, had it rebalanced, weight had come off, doesn't shake at all now, there was absolutely no shake below 110, remember any out of balance will be there all the time, but rubber bushes etc absorb a lot until the out of balance forces have overcome the damping properties, just like out of balance wheels.

Yeah the inner o/s one of mine had started to come loose and it was vibrating like a bastard. Made it feel like it had really bad flat spots on the rear tyres. I got about 5 turns on each bolt.

I have a problem similar to this .... my 2wd vibrates bad as well and it is most noticable at a certain RPM.
I can feel it in neutral as well, but only if I rev it to where the vibration occurs.

If it's a DIFF or Gearbox problem, would it still be doing it when rev'ing in neutral ? ...
I'm suspecting a gearbox mount, but haven't had time to check it yet ...

Cheers
Thomas

A vibration at a certain rpm is almost defo going to be the engine and/or gearbox mount, mine did this at 50mph in 5th gear no other gear so was convinced it was the box, done a few miles, replaced the engine and box mounts 100% gone.
