2wd Sierra Cosworth sump ?
hi .. just want to ask optionions about if I need to modd. the sump as I have started to do some trackdays and was thinking about oilstarvation ?
Sadly no, I didn't take a piccie(just checked), but dead easy to do, if you imagine the square "hole" in the metal plate just cut and weld a flat bit of metal some that they "box" in the sump, just the box has no lid as the pump pick up goes through there,
Effectively just a wall of 4 sides that extend from the sump floor to the metal plate, then about 1 1/2" down from the metal plate on each wall drill/punch a 1/2" hole, leave a 5mm gap between the base of each plate and the sump base.
The sump takes 3.5 Litres to fill the sump to the level of the "slant" above the plate.
I can do a rough piccie if you want but can't post happy to email if wanted, it will be rough as picasso has nothing to fear my my drawing ability, well lack of!!
