anyone have any idea where i can get a front strut brace for my xr2i 16v?? as i understand it is different due to the throttle body being in the way, i have seached high and low but they just dont seem to exist

 

i had a standard one that fitted around my zetec turbo engine which had rover then efi inlet fitted

car was a mk3 2i

 

I had a mate who was after one and he looked everywhere And could not get one. I don't think anyone makes one due to clearance problems.

 

Easy job for any half decent fabricator, just ring around a few, I know someone here who could do one while you wait, but Norfolk a bit far!

sparco makes them so it's possible to find OEMs...



i'll try in Poland we make many things that are made nowhere else

and it would be cheaper than in UK

 

I have one on my xr2i Zetec.

Don't know if its a std ford item. It was a German car so could be. They have always wierd options

 

i don't think it's genuine ford... OEM or hand made...

 

No it isnt hand made i know that for sure

 

do you have any badge on it? brand, part number or anything? i have access to lot of parts from germany maybe i'll find it if it's mass made...

Ryder666 do those fit the Zetec engined car?

Sparco do one but its not cheap!
