Default Advice needed for removing spoiler from Sapphire Boot

I need to remove the spoiler from my Sapphire boot as I have some rust by one of the mountings. I assume I need to remove the 2 discs on top of the spoiler at either end.

Any advice on how to get these off without breaking them would be much appreciated.

Cheers

been told that it might help to take them off and put a little oil or wd40 down a day or so earlier then it should be easier to remove

Mask around the edge as well to stop any damage the screwdriver may cause.

There's a couple of bolts under the middle section of the spoiler as well,10mm bolts. Tbh mate,it's pot luck if they come out or not,I couldn't get them off on my original ebony saff and it turned out the boot was rotten anyway.

when I took the spoiler off another boot so I could paint it properly the torx b
olts just came off perfectly and intact!!!!

Not to put you off mate but its a fooking pig job out of the four bolts that hold the spoiler to the bootlid I managed to remove one the rest were rusted in solid

I also had a little rust patch around the rear pillar of the spoiler and once I did get the spoiler off the little patch was more like fifty pence sized

breakers yard and a replacement bootlid followed
