Default Turning a Grand into more money?

Anyone successfully had this in mind and actually succeeded?

Basically have a grand that id like to try and use to make into more money

Dont want to go down the coke/gambling/scam route I want to be legit

I suppose it's almost impossible without taking a big risk of loosing it?

Should I save the pennies or follow my instinct and try and turn it into more cash

I expect the answer will be dont bother, save it or pay it off debt but there must be some creative idea's into making money?

betting on football is always a winner. bet on 2 or 3 teams that are favourites and put a nice some on and your money will double. but ONLY bet what you can afford to lose ! i usually end up making around Ł150-200 a month and i put Ł50 on.

I do! Legally and everyday. But, it's a secret.
It is true money makes money and it's also true that a fool and money are easily parted.
Assess, then choose your risks with your headlights on.

Exactly and that is why anyone who is genuinely succeeding isn't likely to share their 'winning formulas' with random people on the net. Frustrating but, would you?

If people do have a good idea of making some cash i would think they will keep it to them selfs,

A local person that ran a scrap yard near me has just been made to pay back Ł800,000 by the courts from money he's earned though dodgy dealings.

Like this. But he didn't want to gamble. However, if he did I would say play Ł50 a spin on 0 @ 36-1 Ł1750 and 20 shots on goal!

The only way a "grand" is gonna work for you imo is to invest in tools to progress you further in your job (if thats the sort of job your in)

If you had the best idea in the world than maybe that grand would of made you the next sir branson?

To invest a sum of money you need to be the doing it and making it happen with your idea....not giving it to some one to 'invests' your money because people/compainys don't invests your money for your own good....

How bout put it towards bricks and morter if you havent?....

in the past when I have had some spare cash, I have looked about and found someone selling something cheap as they need the cash, snapped it up quick, then flogged it on for more.

Last one was a Fiesta Zetec S, popped up for 1400 that looked a little unloved but had potential and was an easy 2k car when clean. I had the deal done for 1300 within an hour or two.

Fell lucky and picked up some headlight, side skirts (in the right colour) and a full trim (original had burns) for Ł80 the lot!!

Fitted those bits, sold the stuff taken off for Ł50 and gave it a good polish up. Ended up with a figure of Ł2300 for that car!

Not saying you will always get these, but the fact was the seller stuck it up there and I was on the ball with cash ready to go before they could think about it and well before anyone else could get in there.

There is ALWAYS someone who needs to shift something quick and willing to loose a few quid in order to get some cash, and when you have cash on the hip, your can take advantage.

How i look at things is:..do i buy something for Ł100 spend 5-10 hours on it to sell it for Ł160 or do i put them hours into what i know...much more money

wanking around with old car parts.....when you do the maths ain't all that imo

Buying and selling 2nd hand cars is probably a good way to get a quick turnover and raise ya money. Depends if you know what to look for and can do any work on it that might need doing yourself.

Get down to your local auctions and buy the best car you can with Ł800, just make sure it's got loads of MOT and low mileage. Spend the other Ł200 on fixing it up and advertise it for Ł2000 or nearest offer. This means you've got a lot of give on the price and it means that the usual timewasters will avoid ringing you to see if you'll swap it for a broken lawnmower etc. You will make a profit if you do it right and it really isn't hard at all.

Yes i would if there was a sizeable cut of the money given to me the 1st time someone tried my "secret". Although there is no gaurantee someone would give me the cut, the same way there would be no gaurantee my "secret" works either.

How about buying and selling? Get some half-price cracked ice
And miles and miles of carpet tiles,
TVs, deep freeze, and David Bowie LPs,
Ball games, gold chains, whassa-names, and at a push,
Some Trevor Francis track suits from a mush in Shepherds Bush,
Bush, bush, bush, bush, bush, bush, bush….

And see how you do

if you do start to buy and sell cars do your self a favour and stay away from your VR6's or any car with a large engine, you want people carriers as people need these rather than want them or things like 1.0l corsa's for first time drivers etc as long as they have PAS they sell well.

i also a few years ago built a saph cosworth rep it stood me at Ł1000 done and swapped it for a focus estate which i sold for Ł2000
im just on the look out for my next one but they seem to be getting hard to find

2nd hand cars is easy money, espically small ones, at the moment i am buying Peugeot 106's 1100cc cheap, going thru them, full service, cambelt change and putting a full mot on them and making around 350 - 500 profit on each car
