Just a normal 206 GTi with a different kit on iirc. Not to be confused with the GTi 180 mind.

Friends got a 2000 'X' Reg 206 GTi and its starting to give her a lot of hassle, the mileage is just over 100k and its needing a H/G, the climate control occasionally works and the suspension is shagged.

To be fair, the car is absolutely standard and she's given it a reasonably tough time for the past 25k miles.... but I think its time left on the road is very limited.

Cheers,
Grant

I bought one to sell on, they aren't anything special but are ok. Slow. Parts are cheap for them, I broke up a 206 GTI a couple of years ago and sold the engine (with all ancillaries), gearbox and driveshafts for something silly like Ł150.

no differance in them apart from the bumpers the rear axalles are prone for collapsing third gear normally gives up water pump leaks every 30 to 40,000 miles & head gasket exauhst manifolds crack and gives off a vibration that gets annoying thats all i can think of at the moment its been a whike since iv worked on them
