Earlier on in the year bought a 2nd hand turbo off a mk1 focus rs. Finally had my zetec turbo'd orion running last week. The turbo is perfect when cold. As soon as it starts warming up it smokes and has a load of play in. . . What are my options on rebuilding it. Aint really got space for bigger in the orion bay, but could be tempted on a hybrid? Need this sorting asap so I can run it in

 

go for the hybrid mate, the focus rs mk1 hybrid isnt any bigger then the standard unit and on a focus rs the hybrid will cope with 350 - 370 bhp.

theres a couple of places the rsoc lads use, cr turbos/ turbo technics or a lad who used to work for garrett who does them for around 750 exchange, he can even just sort you out with a standard rebuild if you prefer. hes done a couple of mine now and i cant complain, pm me and il send over his phone number

 

I do wanna go for a bigger turbo but only running a 2 1/2 inch exhaust system for now. . .
Dunno what to do, tempted to just get it rebuilt and run in for now. . .
