Std ford pads are weighted, ie they have the large lump that fits into the pistons. They also cost the earth. Go for something like the Mintex pad, very good from cold and dont squeak like the EBC pads do. Available from most aftermarket Ford supplier.

Having used mintex/ferrodo/ebc, and despite getting ferrodo FREE, I use EBC yellowstuff, they work awsome from cold way way better than DS pads, I also take the anti rattle shim off the rear of the pads and still have ZERO noise, I have never ever heard a peep noise wise in at least 15 years from ebc pads.
I recently bought a set of TAROX 6 pots with 10 mile old DS2500 pads, I have a new set of ebc yellows to go in, instead.

The Brembo calipers in the Focus RS are notorious for squealing which is why the std ford pads are weighted to prevent it. Ive had two sets of EBC pads and both squealed even though I cleaned the caliper until it was spotless and ensured the pad was coated with coppaslip. Lots of other FRS owners have found the same. I switched to Mintex pads and had a little squealing when bedding in but nothinng like the EBC's.

Stock Ford pads all day long, nothing goes better with the FRS Brembo's.
