Hey up guys, I'v decided to go down the rst route with my cabriolet (purely for boost and dump valve) I'm in no rush to complete the project and will be bare shelling it and making it immaculate before rebuilding. So my questions:
If I found a full escort rs turbo Everything will just swap straight over? Are there any major differences with it being a convertable??
Fueling, Can I use the cut off switch from a mondeo to stop my fuel pump relay getting warm and melting itself??
Brakes/suspension, Do I/ can I use Rst suspension or normal 3i convertable suspension? And Brake wise is it possible to use bigger brakes from say a cossie? Or is it just easier to buy a big brake kit?
Cheers guys and thanks in advance

everything will basically drop stright in with no issues.. as for brakes look in the 'escort rs turbo' forum and one of the top 'sticky' threads it explains/shows you exactly how to do it, a very easy conversion. 4x4 cossie callipers, 2wd cossie discs and 1mm spacer washer and bolt it all on and ... job done
if your cab has an electric roof, heated screen, alarm it may be easier to use the engine loom and splice it into the cab loom.thats how i had mine done.
as for teh brakes, rst discs are bigger and so are the drums, but they are still pish.check the sticky in the rs turbo section,if you get cossie calipers from a granada you might get them cheaper than cossie 4x4 but they are pretty much the same but the 283mm dics needs machined down to 278mm as thats the diameter of the 4x4 disc.rear conversion is easy with the brackets and 9mm spacers.
all fuel lines are the same, tank and pump are the same, exhaust, suspension, rad, intercooler and gearbox all bolt up the same.will be very easy with an escort and your cab side by side.

Cheers guys, I suppose I should start poking around the rs turbo threads now and start getting some ideas.
It's a 1987 d reg so no heated screen etc. Planning on modding the interior so dash will be removed so I'l just swap the full loom over while it's out.
