If buying new I'd go for siemens, but if you had a set of greys for example they would be fine too.

To be honest pete i have never owned a car with more than 200bhp. I have driven loads with alot more than that as i used to work for a jap car importer.

I would like to say i will stay 380 for a while.

I'm running 55's in mine at around 400bhp...

However as pete says, if you are going to up the power any time soon then a set of siemens 83lb might be better as they give you scope for more power in the future

Hi ya pete yes weve done adams mate and it made 390 hp with just over 400 lb ft!!!very nice..
As tabs says if your going to buy new then siemens are best but if you have a set of light blues or greys they would do the job..siemens are far better imo..

Speak soon mate.

The 55lbers will do circa 450 hp ,if you want more power like gt30 or t4 etc you will need 83 lbers..

55lb at 435 are flat out
greys 450 or very close
and blues tops of 400

i would go for blues for 380bhp

we do so many blues/t34 conversions and they go very well

i say what i see with my own eyes, the dyno which we use is on par with every other major dyno in the country and is spot on !

i may be wrong but we were doing a engine on a t38 set up and we tried some 55lb siemens

now i may be wrong but im 90% it was 55lb's and it was around the 435 mark !

what is wrong with the blues though ?

around 400

dependant on engine spec but around 440/450 mark is usual for a t38 set up with a reasonable amount of boost

yes you want a inlet cam in there, a bd14 on inlet would do nicely

it has valve cut outs in pistons right ?
