Default 1.8 cvh to 2litre zetec conversion

ive just bought a sierra sapphire and will be looking in the future to convert it to a zetec motor, but id like to know what i would need to do this, i have a 2 litre mondeo which im thinking of breaking so i can save all the parts i need from that, but i basically need a shopping list, is this a common conversion? is there a how to or a guide on it anywhere?

thanks Matt

Don't think there's a how to, but 99% sure box will fit onto zetec engine, if you get stuck pm me, just down the road from you, been car tinkering over 25 years now, inc engine conversions with different makes.

I'm 99.99% sure the bell housing pattern is the same on zetec and pinto.
I'm in attitude city(watton).

if its got mt75 box then i believe the mondeo flywheel and clutch is useable, thermostat housing and water rail i think is available from retroford if im right, i think they also do mounts for the zetec too. sump may need changing to escort type?????? water pump and pulley may also require changing to escort/fiesta type. rwd exhaust manifolds are available too. if you have power steering then keep the mondeo pump too. engine management depends on what you want to run, but the mondeo engine loom/ecu/transponder would do fine.

doing the conversion wont be for a year or so at least, i got the sierra to save me money on fuel and insurance so dont really want to go overboard with mods right away, gona wait untill ive got a bit more expendible income then go nuts lol
