can some one help me i have a mk6 escort 1.6 16v zetec what camshaft can i put in it and pistons to crank up the bhp on her i hear you can do it on this engine easy its just getting the parts and where to get them from


please help

 

I think you would be better just changing the engine to 1.8 130spec or 2.0l

 

i suppose i could do that but i saw on the internet that you upgrade the camshaft and pistons and it cranks it up to 195bhp which is anough for me at the moment so where would i be able to find such things and if so what type do i need to be getting

 

maby 95bhp lol no way 195 ! stick a 2.0ltr in it 130ps and cheap

The 1.6 zetecs are wheezy as fook, as said, stick a 2 litre in it!

 

oh ok thanks for the advice i will start to look and save up for that then im guessing a 2.0 Litre from a mondeo will fit or do i want to be putting a escort one in sorry for sounding quite nooby but to be fair i am new to the tuning industry and i really dnt know were to start and how to go about it

 

Yes 2 litre from the mondeo is what you want. Have a look on escort evolution forum, there's a guide on there to show just how its done!

 

were bouts would i be able to find or get one of those beast engines im guessing it will be the 2.0l 16v zetec engine i will need

 

for me to do the conversion is there a certain engine code for the engine i will need if so which one will it be
