im going to take my erst to be set up by a turbo specialist at the end of the month as it seems to be over fuelling once i have been driving it for a short while,20 mins or so. now the guy who is setting it up for me has pre warned me that the metering unit could be bollocksed, is this true and can you buy reconed units?? are they expensive?? etc

Take it to NMS mate and if they find it knackered they will fit a good one, did for me.

Taking it to NMS is only a good thing where RSTs are concerned.

Karl chipped my standard car and it did 35k miles at 1bar without any problems what so ever.

If your car is up to scratch it will be fine.

 

well i have just bought my erst about three weeks ago but as it wasnt running right i havnt really run it. if the paperwork is to beleived then it had 3k spent on it in 08 on everything from uprated cossie front brakes to engine mounts , gearbox mounts, clutch , collins chip,collins actuator and so on .
hope theres no major shocks

 

If you take it to NMS it will get a very carefull eye and check - the last thing Karl will want to do is set it up with a fault and it melt a few hundred yards down the road.
