Default Missfire or Fuel problem??

My car dosnt seem to like going slow. Ive changed the Spark plugs, Leads, Fuel Filter and it still seems to jump in 4th gear and also dosnt like doing 40 in any gear!

When its ticking over its fine! When you rev through the geras its fine, Its only when you drive slow through town and stuff.

Could the injetors be blocked? If it was the coil pack it wouldnt tick over right would it??

Help please!!!

Yeah its a CVH EFI. Its a right pain you have to coast everywhere or keep accelerating!! Getting use to it now but still annoying.

I have a good idea that its a fuelling problem

In most engines, the vacuum suction should be constant between 16 and 22 inches. Lower the reading usually means a loss of vacuum, but may also indicate a pressure problem (as in connected to a catalytic converter), the worn valve guides or valve springs weak. Vacuum gradually decreases, while the engine is idling is nearly always the exhaust restriction. Oscillating vacuum reading usually indicates leaking valve or worn valve guides.

Default Spark plugs

I had a simular problem with my XR3i, theres that many different car parts it could be, it turned out to be the spark plugs i had some hotter running plugs put in and that cured it. Don't use car breakers for used car parts these need to new. hope this helps

I think you have to replace the fuel filter and check the fuel pressure. May be it will help you to solve the fuel problem.

Have you checked the ignition timing with a strobe, sounds like it is too advanced
