I use 10/50 Silkolene fully synthetic less drag at start up then a 15 weight and 50 a nice weight for when hot.

Depends on mileage, but a 50 weight minimum, or Millers 10W60 fully synthetic.
I run in my 2wd, 1/2 litre above the max mark.

^^ to try and counter act against surge during hard cornering, ie track use, is the common reason.

Ive started using the latest Castrol 10w60....noticed my oil pressure seemed to be really stable regardless of oil temp with this particular oil.

Nothing to do with surge in my case, mine baffled, I couldn't be arsed with filling with oil every 100 miles or so with a worn engine, so put more into start with, didn't cause any issues at all.
I won't do this when I put me new engine in, as I think the oil/air cooler will add another litre, and so help anyway, with the small capacity, just need to find room for the oil cooler and the steering fluid cooler, got me eye on a lecky steering column hybrid using cossie/sierra and corsa parts, or MGF as these are much cheaper!!

I use Silkolene fully syn (Pro S) 10/50 IMO you should have a 50 weight, dosen't cause as much drag when cold as well like a 15 weight would.

The actual reccomendation for these is 5/30 but IMO that is to thin

I always fill mine below the max line.

The actual capacity is 3.0 litres without filter and 3.4 including filter.

I think it's called castrol edge now, when I used castrol RS10W60, it was absolute crap, broke down way to easy.
IF YOU WANT REAL GOOD PERFORMING OIL THEN ADD WHAT THE MAKERS HAVE TAKEN OUT,-------- ZDDP, track it down and add to each oil change, oils, all oils were massively better with this ingrdeient.
