not entirely sure but i know some panel suppliers list two types up to 1989 or 1990 onwards i think but could be completley wrong that later ones slope down less from the turret to the front panel

i think the drivers side inner wing is completely straight sloping down on the 90 spec, but has a slight curve on it on the earlier ones, i could be wrong though, i'm just going off the coolant overflow bottle. 90 spoiler drops down more to the rear quarters at the two sides, and the front bumper is much smoother, no over-riders.

inner wings are deffo different but just slightly, the 90 spec standard header tank has a different underside to account for this

Whats the difference with the rocker cover and cross over pipe? I wonder why they made the inner wings different? seems a lot of effort to go to so must do something?

Wider bolt hole pattern, like the fiesta items:
(ignore colours - for demonstrative purposes)

Here's the two headertanks. 90spec up top, lower one is 88 spec.

All pics borrowed from ebay so may not stay up forever.

It was just a mid-life facelift, to modernise the car, and both the bumper and spoiler are nicer because of it imo. and the cloth in the interior is completely different, but you'd have to put them side by side to tell, i prefer the older interior, but thats just me!
