im fed up of my rst abs system,i have fitted cossie discs all round and the brakes dont work unless the pedal is on the floor.a few folk have said ditch the abs as its rubbish,i think theres still air in the system somewhere but im sick of it and would rather spend the time replacing some pipes.
what do i need to change to non abs?master clylinder, any particular car?then is it just a case of stripping out all the junk and replacing some pipes?also what outlet does which wheel on the new servo?ta,lee

do you mean i can keep my existing servo, blank off the plastic pipes that go to the abs motors then repipe it from the master cylinder to the t pieces?a pic would be handy if anybody has 1.

thats it. No need for pictures. Run one pipe to one side tha the other to the other side. Easy as that. Well you need to make sure they run to the right sides actually so you get diagonal systems. thin the front pipe goes to drivers side and rear to pasenget but i might be wrong. do a search on here, it been covered a million times.

i dont like doing things half arsed,i have found a new master clyinder (non abs) and tank for sale.it appears to have 4 outlets instead of the 2 mine has.i would rather pipe up all the brake pipes to this instead of connecting pipes under the car where the modulators are.i did a search and found a useful post saying about connecting up pipes 2 and 4 and then 1 and 3,confused me a bit as there was a diagram attached but its 2 years old and wouldnt open so i cant see which pipes relate to which number.so im thinking buy this new master cylinder, find out which outlet does which wheel and re-pipe it completely.i would then have a completely new braking system and no more shitty brakes.is there anything wrong with this idea that i have not forseen?

The way Ive said i hardly half arsed. You would end up with it plummed in exacly as it came from the factory minus the ABS modulators. Re-doing the whole car seem a waste of time as its a massive amount of unnessesery work but whatever flicks you switch I suppose

ok,when i get back from work ill get on it.them crappy modulators and belts are going in the bin!cheers, ill post up when im done, hopefully theres a big improvement!
Can you not just replace the reservoir with one from a non abs car and then loop the brake pipes as pictured below this is what ive just done on mine to bin the abs so i hope its alright. Reservoir not fitted in pics:

when i took my abs out
i took the moduatlors out the pipework out to the t pieces n got two new pipes made up to go from the servo to the t piece on the inner wing, then swap the resvaiour over for a non abs one

Get a non abs reservoir to replace the one you already have.
Remove the modulators and all the pipes that go with them.
Then just join the correct pipes together under the car and bleed the system.

ok,sounds easy.looking at the master cylinder from the front what pipe does what t piece?or does it not reall matter now that the modulators have been removed?
looking at the master cylinder the front pipe goes to the left side( if your in front, so drivers inner wing) and the back pipe goes to the right sider( passenger inner wing)
hope this makes sense
cheers

the pipes that are under the car where the gearbox cradle is, i took that out and binned it along with the modulaters,
Am going to run new pipes from master cylinder to front t-pieces, and bleed the system will this work?
as the rear brake pipes are still connected to the t-pieces,
or do i need the bracket with all the pipes on?
hope you understand
