As above, got into the car one afternoon and had no dash lights, speedo or stereo???

still have rev counter and full use of all other electrics

Any suggestions as its doing my head in

 

Does your interior lights work, I know these are on the same circuit as the radio, may have blown a fuse for that. Your speedo is just a cable so cant be electrical.

 

As said speedo is purely mechanical affair so thats another problem, the dash lights are protected by fuse 22 the contacts corrode leading to this problem but then the rev counter would not work but check this first. The radio has two lives one is permanent and the other is switched ignition, so as said make sure interior lights work.

I checked the speedo drive on the gearbox and all was fine so I'll pull the clocks out and see if it's detached itself from there...

As for the interior lights I'm not 100% sure...I'll check when I get home this weekend

 

The cable more than likely has snapped as they "Clip" which is difficult enough to get off by trying in the dash end so doubt it would of come loose.
