ive just bought a new coolant temp sender and it has a blue banding!is this the right part as doing searches on this forum it seems it should be pink banding?

dont want a false reading as ive just fitted a front mount so want to keep an eye on it.

pink/red is correct i think the blue one will over read as after about 2 mins you'll be in the red

 

just aswell i havent fited it yet then otherwise it would have been panic station! any ideas what the blue banded one is for?cvh? cheers
