what are them little trailors called that just take the two front wheels leaving the rears on the tarmac

loads of trailer companies make them and there is loads of homemade death traps on ebay !

 

A towing dolly? only legal for recovery

 

yeah they aint strictly legal anymore except for emergency recoverys and towing untaxed uninsured vehicles is a massive no no with them

Shame your so far from me,Ive sold my one for £50 but the guy hasn't come to pick it up.it's home made but no death trap,proper indespension units,strengthened ramps etc but I just don't need it know as I've got a proper car trailer,I paid £260 2nd hand for it originally!!!I've towed all over the country with it but lent it to a mate a few months ago and he managed to bend the bit where the towhitch goes hence y so cheap,could fix it for £30 at any welders!!!

 

Dollys and a frames can only be used for recovery thats how the aa and rac use them as they are just getting people off the road u cannot tow your track car with one! you will need a trailer for that and if your track car weighs more than 750kg the trailer will need to be braked!
