It's a 1970 Triumph Vitesse, I did wonder about the messers, It's had 2 bids and one of the guy's dropped me a message expressing his genuine interest in it so will have to wait and see I guess. One chap popped round and started picking holes in it, it's not mint, and not advertised as mint neither

A lot of people watch something because they've got one, and want to see what it goes for. Or just to be nosey!

It's annoying because you kinda gauge the price you're going to get based on watchers.

Its the time of year as well, no serious buyers around at the mo, same with houses etc, sales dont pick up again until September once the holiday season is out of the way.

I must admit i watch lots of things just out of curiosity even if it's something i am not going to be bidding on but just have an interest in. For example i might see a mint RS Turbo on there and i'm just interested to see what it finally sells for but that doesn't mean i'm messing the seller around. Obviously sellers should be aware that bidders & watchers are 2 totally different things and if they think that high watchers = high bidders then they are total moose heads.

are you actually going to take 99p for it?

i won a couple of cossie rads and a set of fans for 99p. the seller just left them on his drive at the time i said i would be there to collect and didnt even open the front door to collect his money

you see, i could have whored myself on pf telling you what it was and all that, but then everyone would have been round mine asking for autographs and i'd have had to get the police round for some 24 hour protection

a deals a deal though, so if it went for loads then i'd be chuffed, but it's in the way and at least someones going to do something with it (like possibly giving themselves a hernia getting it out the van )

hope they don't read this

Roughly 50% of the watchers will ask if you have a buy it now and then not bid (the same ones that will ask for service history) and there will be another 30% asking questions that are completely irrelevant, the rest just may be genuine buyers, its a pain selling cars on Ebay.

My buyer was well chugged and said that he would have bid as high as it needed to go as he was desperate for it, pity he was the only bidder

that's fair enough; but when i used to sell cars on ebay i would list the service history. Most people ask questions because the adverts are utter shite!

another issue is people on adverts saying "advertised elsewhere so maybe withdrawn from ebay at anytime" but if you ask them what price it is advertised elsewhere they dont want to disclose!? what's that all about. Makes me laugh at how pathetic some sellers are on ebay
