Hi,

I have just bought an IB5 Escort 1.8 diesel 95-00 gearbox to use with my XR2 CVH engine.

I have had to buy a larger (but flat) release bearing from a 95-00 escort diesel to fit over the input shaft of the gearbox, but as said its flat, not the same shape as before with a lip on its inside edge where it touches the pressure plate.

Do I need to buy a new pressure plate or will this setup work?
