hi has anyone used a 120" cometic headgasket to lower the compresion ratio on a cossie?

have not heard anything good about cometic headgaskets mate there other gaskets are ok tho
i deffo wouldnt use a thick gasket to lower the compression tho seems like a bodge to me

Why do you want to lower it ?, do you NEED to lower it, higher CR is much better off boost, esp with decent mapping.

yeah the heads been skimmed what about a decompresion plate to bring the deck height back,has any1 used these?

If it's just a regular skim of the head/and or block no need to worry, won't raise CR enough to need decomp plate, depending on what cam you use need to watch valve piston clearance, unless you have pocketed pistons ?

what's the deck height of the head?

you need to be careful the valve seats are not too thin
