Its a Sony DSC-P10. 6 Million pixels, but im only using 3.2 million on those photos. Comes out really well if you can use the sun in the right way. Lots on my pictures are copied from various sites around the world, but give time, i'll have a lot more. Just hope fotki doesn't go bust lol.

I need to get myself to some Ford events methinks.

Some more, mostly Vauxhalls though:

And mine..

It is, its just not welded in i dont think. Its had the best part of Ł25k spent on it, fully modified. Smoothed engine bay, throttle bodies, 220+bhp. Stack dash etc.

I'll get another picture of the engine in a sec. Even the drivers seat has been moved to sit dead on with the stearing wheel.

Yeah, the early 20XE is what i've got. HEads were designed by Cosworth, known as COSCAST heads. Less chance of the heads going porous (but they still do, water/oil mixing). Think the inlet ports were slightly larger, plus better material used. Early 20XE's came with forged pistons. Came with 155bhp and no cat. The later C20XE came with a worse made GM spec head, very similar, but just not quite as good. These came with cats (Hence C20) and came with 150bph.

Im still un-decided as to turn my XE into a throttle bodied go kart, or putting the 2.0 Turbo (C20LET) into my corsa like my missis has. Hers just leaves me as standard, and i do mean it really does leave mine. Mines happy enough to see of Focus ST170's without a problem, but its pretty heavy. Theres a lot quicker 2.0 corsas than mine running a standard lump.

Not amazing, just good fun..

Damo,

Brett had this rolling roaded at around 205BHP, the engine is standard internally so this figure is about right for a set of tapered throttle bodies and increased rev limit.

The roll cage looks pretty but doesn't offer much in the way of protection. I love the way the car looks though and the attention to detail is excellent (eg. reconditioned Pilbeam 2.5in front coilovers!!)

Certainly gotta take my hat off to him and Dave on the work, any more pictures the better - if you've got any high res ones I'd love to see them.

On your throttle body vs. turbo question. It would depend on what sort of power figure you were wanting. If you are gonna go for a high power lump then bear in mind that with the throttle bodies your car will become a pain in the arse when the weather gets cold. pm if you want any more info on this, I've gone down the high power QED/SBD route.

Aye, not to bad, different styles attract different tastes.

Both of ours

http://public.fotki.com/DaimoB/my_car_and_donnas_car/

TB on the XE, how fast do you want to go, serious spec can have up to 300bhp, without nitrous. For a NA 2.0 16v, not too bad. Most specs run around 200-240bhp though.

Carbs..

Heavy things them novas..

Really, its been about for a few years, with all the hype around it I always assumed it would be more. I was under the impression it had been done properly with all the internals sorted? My mistake.

I've not got any more at the moment, but if he and the Nova are about at the various Vauxhall events this year (Billing, PVS etc) then for sure i'll get some more for you

Aye, im in two minds. I really do like my XE, it looks lovley at the moment, few mroe chrome bits n bobs and 4 trumpets sticking out would go so well. But, its my toy car, mostly motorway driving to shows etc. When on the motorways, there simply isn't a chance against the LET. For the amount of a new set of TB, i could have the whole turbo conversion put in. But again, i've got the early lump, coscast, and im hoping forged pistons, so it would be a shame to sell an already good lump.

tbh, its a decision i wont decide on easily. I've got time, the cars not goign anywhere for years yet (1st car still, had her 5+ years) so i'll see how things pan out. Im keeping both options open. Wouldn't happen till late this year, next year anyway. Plenty of time for the vauxhall sports car club mob to keep swapping my mind over

Yeah, we were speaking to him at PVS, kept popping driveshafts. Just say we were in the purple corsa behined him, should know who we are. Feel free to save them and send them both to him.

13.1 @ 108mph, tell him, in 5 years, i've not seen a quicker corsa yet on the 1/4, period. Theres a beast of one in South Africa (see my Favourite Corsas, Fastest Corsa ever?). Even Lucky B's ledgendary 2.1 16v running 42mm TB and 250bhp odd only managed a 13.2. Was doing 149mph @ 1.25 miles at Bruntingthorpe though.

Think i told him that on the day actually lol...

Yeah thats right, the driveshafts were a pain in the ass all day.
He ran a 14.0 dead that day but got a 13.1 at a run what you brung event.
That other corsa sounds pretty mad.
I remember you and Donna from a long time ago at a corsa sport meet.
My god has your car come on a lot since then, it looks pukka now.
And Donna's, well little needs to be said!!! Awesome
I will tell him tonight that you say hello.
Your new engine looks mental by the way.

Yeah, it was a tad warm wasn't it.
Yeah, we used to enjoy corsasport. Now neiter of us use it due to the childishness. Part of the Vauxhall Sports Car Club now, much better with a mature member base.
Yeah, they've come on a bit, always more to do though New suspension kti at home, but need to get some more chrome parts for the engine bay lol.

Must have a chrome fetish. nahh, im just really into the whole "euro" style modding. Clean, tidy, but everywhere. Not just a dodgy kit slapped on.
