I'll get another picture of the engine in a sec. Even the drivers seat has been moved to sit dead on with the stearing wheel.
Damo,

Brett had this rolling roaded at around 205BHP, the engine is standard internally so this figure is about right for a set of tapered throttle bodies and increased rev limit.

The roll cage looks pretty but doesn't offer much in the way of protection. I love the way the car looks though and the attention to detail is excellent (eg. reconditioned Pilbeam 2.5in front coilovers!!)

Certainly gotta take my hat off to him and Dave on the work, any more pictures the better - if you've got any high res ones I'd love to see them.

On your throttle body vs. turbo question. It would depend on what sort of power figure you were wanting. If you are gonna go for a high power lump then bear in mind that with the throttle bodies your car will become a pain in the arse when the weather gets cold. pm if you want any more info on this, I've gone down the high power QED/SBD route.
Really, its been about for a few years, with all the hype around it I always assumed it would be more. I was under the impression it had been done properly with all the internals sorted? My mistake.

I've not got any more at the moment, but if he and the Nova are about at the various Vauxhall events this year (Billing, PVS etc) then for sure i'll get some more for you

Aye, im in two minds. I really do like my XE, it looks lovley at the moment, few mroe chrome bits n bobs and 4 trumpets sticking out would go so well. But, its my toy car, mostly motorway driving to shows etc. When on the motorways, there simply isn't a chance against the LET. For the amount of a new set of TB, i could have the whole turbo conversion put in. But again, i've got the early lump, coscast, and im hoping forged pistons, so it would be a shame to sell an already good lump.

tbh, its a decision i wont decide on easily. I've got time, the cars not goign anywhere for years yet (1st car still, had her 5+ years) so i'll see how things pan out. Im keeping both options open. Wouldn't happen till late this year, next year anyway. Plenty of time for the vauxhall sports car club mob to keep swapping my mind over
