hi first post so be nice with me .

i just bought my first escort rst and although i have only driven mine i have been in a few and mine is really underpowerd.its not much quicker than my xr3i.and the shell has got a fair bit of rot so i decided to reshell it and rebuild the engine.

it has a piper pulley(maybe a cam never checked yet)a bigger actuator,induction kit and ss exhaust but my mate said i should see if its been chipped when i opend the ecu its got SUE COLLINS,STRATERGY-ESC S2,CHECKSUM-9205,INJECTORS-STD does that mean its chipped?

and does anybody know where i can take the engine to get a full rebuild in the n wales area

I would say from what you have said its got a collins chip in the ecu, as for an engine rebuild up your way i am sure someone who lives up that way will post and let you know about any decent engine rebuilders, but personally if money wasnt a problem i would take it to karl norris, motorsport devolpments or jamsport.
