Angry not getting paid for jobs, how do i go about getting my money?

ok where do i start? mid last year a lad year older then me wanted me to paint two mirrors/front bumper for him so i did, done a good good of it, being black its a cunt to get right, chrage him 60 euros for it, he said il pay you next week, i said thats ok, never seen the money, seen him out etc he even texted me to do another car for him time past on year half now still no seen of it, another chap came along for me to do his honda box shape full respray plus filler work for 200euro, only reason it was that cheap cause he was giving me another car to do,, so i did do it, texting every day is it done yet so on etc, 2weeks i fought was fair enoght for how much i was getting, all mopped ect landed in to lift it with only 100 euro, said he'd be in next week to give me the rest, about 10 months later still no sign of it i had bumpers/sides belonging to, he sent his mate into lift them only reason i give them to him is i do all his work an his 100% with paying,

am just sick of this sick now, how should i go about getting my money?

Track the cun*s down with the trusty crowbar and 'clava and go get your money back! But to be honest I dont think there is any legal way you can get it back if there was no written contract between you. So thats is the only other genuine way to get it back... Rip off all the bumpers and trim you painted.. Or go one better.. Rattle can it a different colour at night, wait for him to ask you to respray it then tell him to do one!

Not sure about roi but up here it's a small claims court deals with it, although you will need good evdence of doin the work and not getting payed, I sold a set of new alloys to a guy I knew over two years ago and he only paid half. Cunt still owes me 210 quid but I have no way of proving he didn't pay me or even bought the wheels in the first place

find the cars and wreck the paintjob you have done and they may come back to you to fix it

Ask them first and give them a deadline. Bottle of brake fluid on the paintwork if they don't come across!!

top advise there, then do the prison
Or you could just ask for money owed before handing over your work?

exactly as above. i do a few side jobs from time to time, just servicing other members of staff cars in my lunch breaks etc, i never charge them a lot as we all work together but the amount of time i'd have to wait a fortnight to get 30-40 quid out of them for a service that would have cost them probably Ł250 to get done elsewhere just took the piss. i refuse to give the keys back now until the money has been handed over. had 2 this year try it on, 1 i kept his keys for 3 days and the other i took the stereo out of his car until he paid up.

I don't think you stand much chance of seeing any money mate. If i was you i would squirt brake fluid on the bits that you painted (if you can do it without getting caught), if he comes back to you to ask you to repaint them i would add the cost of the first job onto the cost of the repaint but demand the money from him in advance. If he goes elsewhere for the repaint at least you have that satisfaction of knowing he's gonna have to part with some cash and more than likely a lot more than if he'd just paid you what he owed you.

as said, no cash = no car

people will always try it on and you've got to stand firm and say its cash on collection or the car goes nowhere. simple

no good now but unless you are the type who will go an collect owed money, then you shouldn't be releasing their stuff until you have got full payment.

Pay you next week? fine, pick your shit up next week.

I have dragged people to court before - businesses - and if they know how to wriggle out you will get nothing other than your own costs to pay, even balifs fail lol!! so private people would be even harder.

Chances are you will need to suck it up and hope it rains paint stripper one night.

If they ever come calling again for more work, get then to pay up for the last job first, implying you will then do the next job and then once you have your cash, tell them your too busy and go elsewhere.

mate grow a pair of stones, if you do the job then dont give em the car back till theyve paid in full-simple.
If they kick off pull random wires from under the fuse box then tell em to jog on.
