the 50 meg is capped, started off not being but is the same as all the rest now. you just get to your download limit faster!

the 50 meg is spot on though can download at 60 mbps until the cap kicks in!

One word, 'expensive' i was on the 20meg bb paying £38 a month (as i never took out their tv or phone package) i have just switched to o2 paying £15 a month.

So 400 meg is going to cost shed loads a month

their customer service is awful and their broadband is flakey as fuck, i had loads of issues, as do many people I know. They need to sort that before chasing numbers.

Mine has been fine, had to re-boot it twice in the space of 4 years. Always reliable and fast.

virgin reliability is spot on as above rarely goes off and get through easy enough and usually resolved quick!

but if you download properly you will be capped! torrents at 100k a sec are no good! newsgroups using the full 60meg a sec will only run for 10 mins before reaching your limit

i know people who do 100gig a night and aren't capped, think the capping thing must be pretty random from them

i have just switched to BT after being with virgin for 5years,
the last 18mths with virgin have been complete hell for me,
the internet was constantly dropping out which required everything turning off and reset.
this was an ethernet cable connection not wirelesss

the t.v service rarely worked.
since switching to BT i havnt had 1 issue with internet connection and im now wireless with the BT home hub.

i for one will never return to virgin

Nearly as bad as me being stuck with BT line and a max of 1.5mb

I had Virgin years ago when they rolled out with 512kb, well it was Telewest Blueyonder back then, but it always proved to be very reliable with consistant upload/download speeds.
