Is anyone seeing this? over 9hrs playing time so far, and the score in the fifth set is 58-57! Absolutely ASTONISHING display from these two guys - Isner looks completely fucked, and surprisingly Mahut is still very agile and spritely, but these two are just going game after game after game! It's unreal!

basicly on each serve if you win the score goes 15-30-40-game a set is won when you get to 6 games and are 2 games up, in the final set you have to get 2 games up, so if they each win a game then it can go on like today forever..

He knows he'll recover faster and better than Isner for tomorrows finale, and give him more of an edge than he had this evening!

Isner was ready to drop, I really felt for him. He just doesn't have the energy to get to balls and concedes the point, then comes out with some mental serves and wins an ace!

And yet HE was the one saying play on when the frog was pussying out!

 

And I'm not even a tennis fan! But I just couldn't turn this off!!! I've not got this excited over sport on TV for a long long time!

 

9 hours now thats a long time. Are they playing tomorrow.

 

Played for a little over an hour today, and finally wrapped it up at 70-68 with Isner as the winner!

I was elated for him, as he so deserved it, but also absolutely gutted for Mahut, who just looked broken, as he deserved it just as much! But sadly where there is a winner, there has to be a loser.

Was nice that both the players, along with the umpire, were all awarded a special prize for being part of such an amazing event!

Funniest part of it was when the scoreboard failed during yesterday's epic marathon. IT was counting right upto 47-47 then just froze, and shorty after just went blank and stayed that way. IBM said that the machine was only programmed to go upto 47 and that they would reprogramme the whole system overnight - which they did! LOL

 

I saw some of this yesterday, and then the conclusion today! Poor bastards!!

More importantly though whilst on the subject of tennis, why don't the women wear proper knickers any more? How the fuck ya supposed to perve on em when they're wearing things that resemble shorts!!!!!

 

I heard that Mahut was give a free holiday by his government as a reward for his advertising for tennis in his country (france) Very nice touch i thought
