Is it just me?...
I buy performance ford and fast ford mags most months but every time i buy one these days i seem to find my self asking why did i bother?

I understand that the mags have to keep with the times and rs turbos and cosworths are old hat these days but i have no intrest in the new focus rs/st even if i could afford one! I like the fact it has up and coming events but thats something i can find out for free!

Has everyone given up with rs turbos these days?

I brought a classic ford mag and retro ford mag but it seems to be cars older then the rs turbo's!

Am i just being a tight arse grump?

Try PPC magazine, I very rarely buy FF PF these days, maybe 2 a year, as just go over and over the same old stuff a lot of the time, whereas I'm more into the odd ball stuff, and one off creations that are made without the use of just chucking a cheque at someone, any idiot can do that.

I buy it only if i'm going on holiday or something and need some reading material. May aswell not bother though as it just seems to be same old shite over and over again just in a different cover.

You can't please all the people all the time.

But i have to ask, what are you looking for??

Reading your post it seems you are fed up with RST's and Cossies, and you have no interest in the newer ST's and RS.

What are you hoping to see?

And, to complain that Classic Ford and Retro Ford features cars older than RS Turbo's is missing the point of those mags completely.....

i stand in Tesco and read it, if theres any thing interesting that takes my eye, i buy it, if not, i don't. Simplz. Never seen the point in subscribing just so you get it a few days before everyone else - let's face it, that's the only real pro to the subscription.

times change.. things move on, but the RST's and Cossies are the inspiration behind a lot of the featured cars.. well, i think they are anyway !

Hi Neil,
I wasn't complaining about retro and classic ford mag was simply just saying its not the mag for the RS and Cosworth user!

Im not fed up with Rs's and cosworth's at all, its the complete oppiste... im only intrested in those!

What am i looking for?
Really the rs & cosworth has had its day most things that can be done with an rs/cosworth has been done (not complaing)
I like the more one of bespoke jobies, like a crazy space framed mid engine fiesta that joe blogs built in his shed!

Not dissing your work at all, i just refuse to move with the times!
Love my rs's and cosworths but everything seems to of been done that can be so seems pointless buying a mag to see something thats already been done or something on a car that dosen't intrest me.

i can see what you mean about rst's and cossies are all the same but most of the reason is down to money, most people cant afford to try new things for the reason if it dosnt make any diffrence thay could have done the same cheaper

it woud be good to see really good space framed cars like andy g's focus and that puma that cost loads with all the carbon, but you can only put them in the mag once and i dont think there is that many mental cars out there to fill a mag each month, i like reading about cars that i can afford to owne not supercars that i will never get a chance to drive

I dont like super car's either cause i know there is a good chance i will never own one. Dosen't have to be mental... like i said joe blogs built it in his shed. Just One off stuff.
I know its not easy for the mags cause not alot of people have the time and money to do such things.

I stopped buying performance ford a while ago now because I felt every car in it was a 500bhp+ cossie or similar, nothing wrong with these cars at all (in fact there amazing), but I felt there was a real lack of variety, and I felt there was no way I was ever going to be able to afford one of the cars featured, so I felt like I was wasting money dreaming. I still get fast Ford because I feel it still has a good varitey of cars, and I don't think you can have a go at anyone as why cars like the ST/RS focus' are being featured as these are new cars and still very much in development in terms of tuning, so they get featured because in a way its the latest news, and as they say, they can only feature the cars they get sent in requesting features, I'm sure if a couple of hot RS turbos requeseted features they'd do it, the only thing I'd like to see is perhaps the reyland cos and Rods saph at the next tuner wars. Have you thought maybe about getting redline if you want something different, its good read.

always got nice cars in, plently off news on the 'scene' etc
