Want to take the girlfriend away for a week, but been to Spain and Greece etc tons of times, going to Italy next year. Was looking at Morocco, Croatia or Montenegro. Anyone been?

I went to a 2 centre holiday in Morroco years back : One week in Marrakesh in the desert and one week on the coast at Agadir. Tends to be a bit French as it was a colony once so signs are easier to read with schoolboy French knowledge.
Was a nice change from the usual Euro cobblers. Chuffing hot though!

 

Been to Croatia. Dubrovnik. Beautiful old walled city on the coast with decent beaches just out of town.
Lovely place and the people were really friendly too.

 

Went to Marrakech last month - had a great time.

Spent a day in the Atlas mountains doing a trip to visit an old Berber village.

Thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip, and very good value!

 

I went to morroco a few years back, stayed in Agadir! It defo opened my eyes to other ways of the world, and its definatly not your typical "spanish" type holiday! lol

I also went on an excursion to a berber village, and had a fantastic evening, was shown around a house there, (what you can call a house!) where you see your food being prepared, and how they cook it in the tangines etc, then the evening was filled with typical morrocan entertainment! Their hospitality was brilliant!

Be very careful tho....I love the sun as much as the next person, but i decided to try using Argan Oil, recommended by the morrocans to give ya a good tan, and well my arms etc were fine, but my legs...i came home with superficial burns, so if you or ya girlfriend go, make sure ya remember the warning on the Argan Oil!!!
