I have to say though, it's a myth about Evo's doing all the driving for you. The electronics just make you drive it that bit harder. So, I suppose you could say that you crash harder in an Evo.

Additionally, alot of the high-end Evo's have had the complex control taken out. Ours has for sure. The AYC diff isn't strong and tends to blow itself to pieces at around 400bhp.

I've been in some "action" in an evo in the wet and it's fucking scary!

 

He doesn't even appear to take any corrective action at all, not even a hint of steering into it (i mean the slide not the BMW).

 

I was at combe on a slightly damp day last year and the evo's were all over the place exiting quarry corner, most of them spinning at very low speeds.

That driver was a fucking tool though

 

I remember that one. Thing is, most Evo owners run R888's these days and when you coast round a corner at low speed with very little throttle on semi-slick tyres, a 4wd car is just as likely to spin as anything else. There is a specific skill in getting anything round a corner fast in the wet and Evo's are no different.

Thats off topic though as this goon didn't have a wet track to blame.

 

Yeah I see what you are saying, my point is that all cars were driving cautiously due to the damp track and it was only the evo's that were having the problems.

 

Add to the mix that the aforementioned tyres may be somewhere in the range of 235-265 wide, they will displace water far less effectively than their thinner counterparts (as used on most other effective track-cars) and the fact that the drivers probably do lack a little bit of talent in terms of wet cornering and you have a whole lot of Evo's in the kitty-litter.

 

And apparently the guy just packed up his stuff and left quickly without even saying sorry to the M3 driver!!!

Agree with you here love it how so many people comment about how easy an Evo is to drive fast that's exactly why so many get written off they can be very arse endy when pushed. I'll bet 90% of the people that make these comments have never even driven an Evo let alone owned one! The guy in the video is a talentless idiot though!
