Got a call at half 8 this morning from muzzathemonster, Some thick cunts tried getting in to the unit between the time 1-6.30 this morning
Ripped some cladding off near big door thinking they can get through for them to face some 19 mm ply so must have thought fuck that then they smashed a 10 mm thick window and couldnt get through that eather because of some more ply also crow bar marks around big doors,But because of my fitting of many coach bolts they didnt get in The scary thing is i was on my own till 1am last nite working on my racing car,they are cheeky cunts would love to catch them,there is a pond next to the unit and would be so much fun to drown the bastards

So the moral of the story is make SURE your lock up / unit is secure

sounds like they had a few surprises this time that stopped them, which wont be surprises next time, so lets hope they dont come back better equipped

 

my mates workshop got broken into last week.

his dad got a call at 11pm saying the alarm had gone off (from the alarm company)
he went there and couldnt see anything wrong

then at 2.30am my mate got a call from the alarm company saying it had gone off again,
when he got there he went inside and saw they had been broken into.

to get to the unit theres a big set of locked gates at the front that were still locked, they had come in from the back, over a large mound and used ladders to get across onto the roof of the unit,
got inside and pulled the safe up out the roof!!!!! he said 2 blokes would struggle to move it across the floor, but somehow they got it out the roof.
they also tried to get in the safe and took some other random bits.


he said during the day they had some pikeys round, 1 inside asking about booking a car in, 1 outside looking in, obviously casing the place.

cunts.

the alarm went off the 1st time due to the phone line being cut, they obviously did that and timed how long it took for some1 to arrive.

Its a unit out of the way in the middle of the countryside ffs its not even rough anywhere near it

My friend has a unit which is right beside quite a bad estate for thiefing fucks but has never been touched, as we know a guy who lives close and had a word with someone and said if it does ever get broken into it def wont be anyone from the estate

Also a few of people from the estate look out for the place if they are passing etc.

Seems to work well so far for the past 2 years

No matter where you live tho there will always be the minority that let it down by stealing etc ffs

Hidden camera! If it happens again be prepared to stick a camera on record somewhere they wont see it - if they follow the same pattern as last time it should continue to record for long enough. That or invest in some proper gear at be sure even if they do get it you get a look at them.

I'd consider getting some of that nasty grease paint too...

mmmm i wouldnt be impressed with the alarm company. If they checked the premises surely they checked for alarm faults? A cut phone line should register a fault even when reset. That should have raised suspicion.

Maybe an additional GSM pager needed instead! theyd have to cut wire and jam network.

Seems like the response time is quite slow as well.
As Chip says, they know youve got nice stuff. That gets around in the scummer community.

Youve in effect got an "arms race" between you and the thiefs until your secure enough to make it not worth the effort. and its a race you need to win and can be costly too, but its cheaper than loosing and them getting in!

our unit got done over in february,they came in through the roof they stole my sons racing kart, 2 snap on welders(one was brand new), one set of heat lamps for painting car panels, a brand new cobra race seat and 2 harnesses. about 8k in all.
even used our 5" grinder to cut the locks off to get out..

Friends place got broken into last weekend. They managed to get in through the storage room window and make off with Six thousand pounds worth of tools from my mate. Unfortunately for him the owner of the garage never got the alram system fixed or installed any cctv (mind you he is an ex financial advisor and a lazy workshy bastard) so there's not a lot he can do other then persue the owner for the cost in replacing it all which im not sure anything will come of it. Some jockey sorting out his horses in the field opposite heard the comotion but was too late to check his suspicions as they had made off by that time

I'm lucky in a way that we've got a taxi rank next door which is generally manned.it's manned all weekend which really helps.I've often been in the unit late on my own and think what if?admittedly I'm 20 stone and no weed but if some prick came in with a shooter or something I'd yield straight away....thank fuck there's no money in spraying at the moment!!!!Usually cutting a phone line causes a silent 999 call?I only know as I fucked it up in my old house and the police kept coming over when I wasn't there( working shifts etc) snooping about!!

 

Not good, hopefully they were just on the nose about round deserted units and not aware of what is inside and had made a special trip as they may be back.

Are there other people with units there? Mate of mine used some old barns, about 10 other smalls firms mainly car repairs up there. His mate dropped a cossie off late one night, removed the leads, covered it all over and locked up the place, next morning it was gone! without a doubt it was one of the other firms on the site as it was only his place that got targeted and was sold all in there but the car.

 

This won't be the last time there gona try and get in they can't get fuck all well secure in side now setting some traps this weekend hopefully catch them I'm goin to cut there thumbs off if I do can't steel without them . Sounds harsh but I work hard for my possessions

 

Can't blame you but watch out at the moment as were still in a labour legacy where the criminal is king and you'll end up in jail sadly.still,if you were accidently to leave some slightly bare wire cables,obviously you didn't realise otherwise you'd have moved them very near a metal window guard or such like then accidents could happen,especially if you didn't have time to wire through an rcd,these things happen you know!!!!
