Default zetec turbo (budget build)

up until the last few days i had only een considering n/a tuning for my 1.8 silvertop zetec but as i was about to spend roughly 1k on the engine over the coming month it has daunted on me to maybe turbo it.

i think i could do the conversion myself if anything get a lil bit of help for the tricky bits.

i have searched the net for 2 days solid looking up info.

this would be a budget build and i would like 200-220 bhp how much would i be looking at to do this i am roughly looking to spend no more than 1k.

i am unsure what bhp my 1.8 silvertop is running its standard apart from a k and n induction with cold air feed.( will give ford the engine number to get the exact details on the engine in my car.)

what inlet system am i best off using?
what exhaust manifold?
what turbo?
management (ofab---ofac))(how does this connect to my current 1.8 loom is it direct plug in???)
What connects to the inlet to turbo (amal valve or anything like this i.e any thing u can think of?)
decomp plate supplier????
head gasket(st170 one??????)
oil feed from pressure plate/switch on rear of block am i correct????
oil return to be fitted to top of my sump?

relocate breather???????? from bottom of block to rear or somewhere else where????????

is there a chip available off the shelf if i ring a company up and gave them my specs?

cams 2.0 cam for inlet and 1.6 90 spec one for exhaust? or just stick with current standard cams?

injectors?????/ fuel rail??????????

what would be safe boost?

Not sure where it is, but I've read a thread on here covering a lot of what you're asking, but iirc, you need to be looking at 1.5k without labour if you're serious about this.

Here ya go falla. Might be of some help.
Can't give any advice myself, as I'm reading this sort of post because I'm thinking of trying this in the future. This sort of thing almost always ends up costing more than you anticipate though.

ditto.

i had a 1.6 cvh xr3i. running manual injection.

I chose a 1.8 blacktop but theyre pretty much same. and im aiming for 200-220bhp too.

People always say to spend thousands and it'll be good for 300+bhp. But im not after that much in a cab!

i bought a stainless tubular T3 manifold for £130 including delivery, special price. saves arsing about with cvh one as i was unhappy how badly it fitted. I plan to use cast turbo pistons from another make car.

Using rover turbo inlet and i'll be going for emerald management, purely cause i'm fussy.

Thats pretty much it really, im not on a budget as such, i dont want to spend a penny if i can help it, but i dont mind for management etc as i know its needed. Things like intercoolers can be bought for few hundred quid new, but im using chargecooler setup for less lag and easier packaging in mk4 bay with standard rad...

just need to find a decent turbo, one i bought has fucked ex housing.
