Hi all,
I will be getting extra hangers for my car made up soon, (stop any sagging in the future) and I am also considering getting a flexi put in. Is it worth doing this? do these actually last - and if they go can they be replaced easily?
cheers

I dont have one and mine fine. But if you got worn mounts, then the snapping begins.even tho i dont have a flexi,id say go for one, gives you peace of mind then.
i had to put a flexi pipe on my 2.1 zvh as it was slackenin the bolts on the turbo all the time once the flexi was in i never got any bother, it also mate it sound a bit different aswell.

yes mate its a v-band, the other end of that down pipe is v-banded too,in fact all the systems i build i use v-bands on they make life easy if you ever need to take your turbo off ect .
here's the other end thats just out of shot drop's down to 2.5" and onto his old system for now .

that's where the turbo v band sits that joins to the pipe rob the pics are of the one he built for my car and the manifold in this pic is also for sale if you know anyone thats after a s'steel tubular cheap
Are the clamp on flexi's any good? just mine hasn't got one and I want to fit one, but can't be bothered to get 308 wire and proper gas for my Mig for something so small. I was guessing it could clamp one on and just tack it with my regular MIG set up to stop it moving.
im not sure i have never used one .have you got a link to them and ill have a look ?

Rob,
Rob,
Rob,
i modified a magnex system from an escort rs turbo to fit my xr2 zvh about three years ago using mild steel and co2 on a mig and has held together fine.
Yeah, I've welded mild to stainless and stainless to stainless before with regular MIG but was worried about cracking in the future as the regular weld takes away the corrosion resistance from the surrounding stainless. Sod it, I'll have a bash.
