Default flexi or no flexi

Hi all,

I will be getting extra hangers for my car made up soon, (stop any sagging in the future) and I am also considering getting a flexi put in. Is it worth doing this? do these actually last - and if they go can they be replaced easily?

cheers

definately put one on, without just puts too much stress on turbo etc, leads to bolts dropping out etc. well it did on mine before people start saying im talking shit.

Are the clamp on flexi's any good? just mine hasn't got one and I want to fit one, but can't be bothered to get 308 wire and proper gas for my Mig for something so small. I was guessing it could clamp one on and just tack it with my regular MIG set up to stop it moving.

Rob,
i modified a magnex system from an escort rs turbo to fit my xr2 zvh about three years ago using mild steel and co2 on a mig and has held together fine.

Yeah, I've welded mild to stainless and stainless to stainless before with regular MIG but was worried about cracking in the future as the regular weld takes away the corrosion resistance from the surrounding stainless. Sod it, I'll have a bash.
