Default Amal Valve RST/Cosworth?

Hi Everyone,

How do I tell if an Amal Valve is for a Cosworth or an RS Turbo?

I have a box with a few different ones that I have accumulated over the years and would like to sort them out.

From memory there are a few that have a light brown plastic cover and the others are dark brown.

Cheers

Darren

Would there be any point in runnning the cossie amal valve? like would it hold boost better if say your car was running cossie management?
thanks

I would imagine that when running Cosworth Management that you would require an Cosworth Amal Valve? Or would it depend on the MAP/Set-Up?

Mr Joe - I'll get them sorted this week and let you know.

As said FRST used a two port valve and BT Escos a Lektron valve IIRC, I always thought Sierra and ERST were the same except for colour, different jet sizes perhaps?

There is no difference between the cosworth and escort amal valve apart from colour. The jets inside the amal valve should be set per engine spec and tune.

The FRST / ST Escos electronic solenoid valve is not the same as the Amal valve above. Made by different companys to work in two different ways.
