smoke on over run.
hi fella's, i recently bought a 4x4 saph and it smokes on over run, it's quite noticeable after a down hill cruise or slowing down for a period of time and im a bit worried it could be the ring's. im guessing plenty of you have had this before so im just asking roughly what it cost's to get it fixed OR if there is anything else that it could be making it smoke like this?
i guess you been there too? or is it a common thing with cossie's? i spoke to someone who used to be quite into there cosworth's and he asked if people keep flashing me/driving past with fog light's on, and then said if not then you dont have a big problem...it's just a cossie. i did laugh but i do like thing's to be right so thought i would ask here.
Mine does it , ive changed the stem seals and turbo and it isnt that , its been rebuilt 6k miles ago too new rings , pistons so im buggered if i know what it is , just cossies . Mine gets that bad sometimes it misses for a few seconds on re aplication of the throttle .
hey i no a rite bit about genral engines but dont no much about cosworth but is the cossie engine not timed advance cusing it to smoke wen wheels are pulling engine a run rite wen engine pulling wheels.just a thought so dont all call me a stupid c**t if im away off the mark fokes
.
was thinking the rings but he said he had it rebuilt den.but u think it the turbo it would smoke on acceleration to if the seals wer gone......no?

realy? and what sort of cost's should i expect? i know people will say if you have to ask you cant afford, but i like to weigh up my option's etc. if it need's it then i may get it checked over and start getting prices.
mine smokes like a trooper on boost but im not that bothered, worry about whats in front of you not whats behind you, also if they didnt pump abit of smoke out i'd be worried that there was no oil in there
