Talking Hit the limiter in 5th tonight!

Just to see if I could!
We were out mapping with my new 630cc injectors and did a 3rd, 4th, and 5th gear run to the limiter

Top speed with my current setup...
XR3i Final drive 4.29 and 195/45/16's @ 6943rpm is 145mph
So with my previous setup...
XR2 Final drive 3.58, 205/45/17's I am 100% convinced we hit 160mph @ 6000rpm......... The car pulls to the limter in 5th, what else do I need to know?! lol

We actually had a bit of fun blowing little hoses off my inlet manifold too! I was trying to find the limit of the turbo so cranked the boost controller up and was hitting up to 34psi @ 4000rpm (then dropped like a stone to about 23psi), the hose that goes from the FPR to the TB came off and my boost gauge hose too!! lol
In the end it's peeking at 25psi and holding 23psi until 6000rpm then falling to about 19psi.

Incidentally it took 18.48sec after changing into 5th to pull from 5387rpm to 6943rpm which felt like forever!!

Car feels fast as fuck though!!

By the way this is the turbo i mentioned in your other thread (just being lazy and posting it here)

Ball bearing stage-3 T3

They list a number of A/R's and hosing options which is nice. Pretty expensive tho!

Rob,
Yeah that is a fair price mate, GT28RS is that much!
I was talking to Christian on the phone yesterday and he thinks the GT28R would be a good turbo for my setup, flow enough for high 200's and not too laggy.

indeed! i think the 28r is a journal bearing turbo though? might be worth looking at some of the gt25's? pretty sure they do one that will flow for very high 200's and will a clear lag advantage

Been a long tme since i messed with this stuff but i think if you right click you can configure smoothing onto each log trace. A little on the AFR trace would help you read it more clearly.

Sure can!
Just hit the Print Screen button on your keyboard to take a grab of your log, then use Paint to paste it into, then upload to Photobucket.

Interesting to see how tha MAT has little spikes as you close the throttle and stop the air flowing through the manifold.

Yeah I was wondering about that I think it's heatsoak, as the gas velocity drops and the last of the boosted charge air is passing by it spikes, then a pocket of fresh uncompressed air enters and it drops again, followed by more boosted charge?

heatsoak for sure, i have the same thing on mine too.
nice to know the Deka's are working well, mine haven't arrived yet
i think i may need to upgrade my map sensor at some point as i've only got a 2.5BAR one and constantly hit the ceiling on it, although i've got to fit my replacement box tomorrow, so we'll see how i get on.

good results though fella!
